Meghan Markle “doesn’t feel guilty” about her rift with Kate Middleton for one reason, a royal expert has claimed.
When she first joined the Royal Family, Meghan Markle developed a warm affinity with Kate. However, it wasn’t long before rumours emerged suggesting a family quarrel.
After Meghan and Prince Harry split from the Firm in 2020, the Duchess alleged Kate made her cry just days before her wedding ceremony with Harry in a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Now, royal expert Tom Quinn has shed light on the strained ties between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, claiming Meghan “doesn’t feel guilty” about the rift.
He said: “Megan doesn’t feel guilty about Kate, because she feels that Kate should’ve been the one person in the Royal Family to back her against every difficulty.”

Speaking to The Mirror, he added: “Apart from anything else, Meghan knew Kate was an outsider, so she just couldn’t understand why Kate always towed the Royal line rather than supporting her, Meghan, the other outsider.”
Despite Meghan being taken aback by Kate’s recent cancer diagnosis, Quinn doubts it will mend their fractured relationship.
He opined: “Kate’s cancer diagnosis has been a real shock for Meghan, but she can see no way to patch up the relationship simply because it has become so poisonous.”
The royal expert added: “She also doesn’t want people saying that she is trying to make things up with Kate just because Kate is ill. Meghan still feels Kate was in the wrong and should apologise before they try to build bridges.”
Princess Kate announced her cancer diagnosis last month in a moving video message weeks after she underwent planned abdominal surgery.

In the video, Kate said to concerned fans: “I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you, personally, for all the wonderful messages of support and for your understanding whilst I have been recovering from surgery.
“It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.”
“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.
“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”
