Ms Seward claims Meghan isn’t “natural” and has “got one expression” (Image: Getty)
The Duchess of Sussex has been criticised for only having “one expression” that is not “natural”, according to a royal editor.
On the other hand, the Prince and Princess of Wales have been claimed to possess a certain “magic” that bodes well with the public.
Speaking on The Sun’s royal show, royal editor Ingrid Seward said: “You see with Meghan I feel she’s got one expression, the big grin, and I feel that’s all and that doesn’t feel natural.”
Comparing the Duchess of Sussex with William and Kate, the royal editor believes the UK-based duo exudes a certain “magic” that the late Princess Diana once had.
Ms Seward added: “I think it’s the warmth between them [William and Kate] – it’s not fake and they give out warmth….and of course Kate is a photographer’s dream.”

Queen Elizabeth II loved palace mishaps because it “spiced her life up”, one of her closest aides has said.
Samantha Cohen, who worked for 17 years as press secretary and then assistant private secretary to the late Queen, said she “loved it” when things went wrong on engagements. The former courtier, who left the royal household in 2019, said her boss displayed a sense of humour and was often amused when perfectly arranged royal events such as plaque unveilings did not go to plan.
Ms Cohen said: “The Queen had no ego, she was so comfortable in herself, yet she loved it when things went wrong. If a cake was not cutting, or a plaque didn’t unveil, because everything was so perfectly organised, it spiced her life up when things went wrong.” Ms Cohen, who now works as chief of staff for the global chief executive of the mining giant Rio Tinto, revealed her insights working with the monarch in an interview with the Australian newspaper The Herald Sun.
