Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie news: Royal Family set for crunch talks

The Royal Family are set for crunch talks over Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, sources have claimed.

It comes as King Charles and Princess Kate have temporarily paused royal duties while they receive cancer treatment.

Several senior royals, including Queen Camilla, Princess Anne and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have stepped up and taken on more royal duties as a result.

Two young royals who could also be on the radar to be more visible at engagements are the monarch’s nieces, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

The pair have also grappled with health issues in the family after their mother Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with breast cancer and later skin cancer.

Beatrice, 35, and Eugenie, 34, appear to be a beacon of strength amid difficult times for the Firm.

They have been championing their own causes as well as being on hand to accompany family members at big gatherings, like memorial services and Christmas and Easter.

Therefore, King Charles may have crunch talks over enlisting Beatrice and Eugenie as working royals, according to reports in The Mail.

Last week, Eugenie channelled the Princess of Wales, known for her work in the early years, as she read to school children.

She chatted with children from Garden House School at Elephant Family’s Little Egg Hunt in Sloane Square, London, on Thursday.

Wildlife conservation charity Elephant Family was established in 2003 by Queen Camilla’s late brother, Mark Shand.

Calling Shand “a dear friend”, Eugenie said she got involved in the event because the charity is close to her family’s heart.

Beatrice has also stepped up to promote causes dear to her heart, as last month she hosted a tea party for Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity, of which she is a patron, at St James’s Palace.

The royal listened to a speech from Jemima Spurr, who has benefitted from the charity’s services.

Spurr said: “I was so excited to meet Princess Beatrice.

“She came straight over to congratulate me on my speech and to thank me for sharing my story.”
