Prince William and Kate Middleton showed there was plenty of support for England in the final of European Championship thanks to their post on social media.
The Three Lions took on Spain in Berlin in hopes of finally securing the first major tournament win for the men’s team since the 1966 World Cup.
Although England came up short in the end, falling 2-1, the Prince and Princess of Wales shared a photo of Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, showing their support for the team thanks to customized kits bearing their names and ages.
“@england, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C,” the couple captioned an Instagram post on Monday.
Fans love the glimpse into life as a royal
The post garnered plenty of support from fans who were overjoyed to see a glimpse of what life is like behind the castle walls.
“Love how this is a private moment from home! This is so relatable thank you Princess for sharing with us!” wrote a user.
Another added:”What a super ‘normal’ family pic! You guys are doing great.”
And another wrote: “First time seeing their television and inside of their house.”
Some fans wondered where older brother, Prince George, 10, was given he didn’t feature in the snap.
“I would of loved to of seen George in a shirt rather than a suit. I can’t imagine his excitement going to see the finals with his dad, and then being told to wear a jacket and tie!! Kids need to be kids sometimes, future king or not,” added one user.
George didn’t feature in the image, as he attended the match with his father, as William is the present of the Football Association.
As for Kate, she attended Wimbledon with sister Pippa and Charlotte.
