In a touching message of support, the Prince and Princess of Wales praised the Princess Royal publicly
Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a touching public message of support for the Princess Royal as she returned to royal duties for the first time since her accident.
Princess Anne, 73, paid a visit to the Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) National Championships at Hartpury University and Hartpury College on Friday 12 July. It’s part of a gradual return to royal duties for the Princess Royal, following an accident suffered at home which left her with head wounds and a concussion.
According to MailOnline’s Rebecca English, the Princess Royal has said she ‘can’t remember a single thing’ about the incident, which left her in hospital for a number of days last month.

Shortly after her visit, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a tribute to Anne on social media, writing, ‘Super trooper! So great to see you back so soon! W & C x’.
It was a touching move from Anne’s nephew and his wife, given the Princess of Wales has also been suffering her own health issues over the last few months.

Prince William and Princess Anne are known to have a good relationship, with the pair appearing alongside Kate on Mike Tindall’s podcast, the Good, The Bad and The Rugby in a joint episode last year.
At the time, Princess Anne recalled how she would race Prince William around Balmoral, with the Prince of Wales adding his aunt could be ‘quite quick’ and the ‘look that [she] had on [her] face was quite terrifying’.
