Prince William and Princess Kate are set to celebrate thirteen years of marriage on April 29, with Prince Harry serving as best man at their wedding.
Prince Harry shared a chilling insight into how he really felt watching his older brother Prince William marry Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011, in Westminster Abbey.
Writing in his memoir Spare, Harry recalled how pulling up to the venue reminded him that the Abbey was also the place where their late mother Princess Diana’s funeral was held in September 1997.
He wrote: “I peered out of the window: Westminster Abbey. As always, my stomach lurched. I thought: Nothing like getting married in the same place where you did your mum’s funeral. I shot a glance at Willy. Was he thinking the same thing?”
On the big day, Harry was the best man for William, with Kate’s younger sister Pippa Middleton also acting as her maid of honour, holding the train on her exquisite Alexander McQueen dress.
William later took on best man duties for Harry too for his wedding to Meghan Markle on May 19 2018, with the ceremony being held at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

Sadly the relationship between the royal brothers has significantly disintegrated since then, with the Sussexes now based in Montecito, California with their two young children.
William and Kate live at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, close to where Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis go to school at Lambrook.
Despite their apparent previous closeness, royal expert Ingrid Seward told True Royalty TV’s The Royal Beat that this was not necessarily the case.

She explained: “They painted this lovely picture that they were great friends, but they weren’t. There was always huge rivalry between them.
“They were never really great friends and I can’t see [them coming back together] until maybe many, many years in the future. If disaster struck one or other of them, that would bring them together. But I cannot see it happening [otherwise].”
The Firm has been plagued with health woes this year, as both Kate and King Charles face cancer battles, with some speculating that this could bring the brothers back together again.

Veteran royal reporter Richard Palmer told The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show: “I do think Harry and his father are trying to reconcile. I think with William it’s going to be a much longer process.
“But eventually, maybe, you know that lots of families have disputes and over time they can heal their divisions, but there’s a big job to be done yet with William.”
Prince Harry has confirmed he will be in London on May 8 for a commemoration service for the Invictus Games at St Paul’s Cathedral, but it is not known if he plans to see his family during the trip.
