Prince Harry is a ‘liability’ to the King and hopes of reconciliation are over

Prince Harry has been labelled a ‘liability’ to the Monarchy and any hopes he has of reconciling with his estranged family are over, according to a royal expert. It comes after the Duke of Sussex was refused a meeting with his father, the King, when he was in London last week for the Invictus Games 10th anniversary celebration.

According to royal biographer Angela Levin, Buckingham Palace claimed they “did not receive a request” from the Duke to have a private audience with his father. Other reports suggested that King Charles declined to meet with his youngest son after he ‘demanded’ Queen Camilla not be there.

Other rumours suggested Prince William also persuaded his father not to meet with him. Speaking to GB News, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield said Prince Harry will not reconcile with the King until he has “matured”.

Schofield said: “I do think that the King should engage in peace talks once Prince Harry does some maturing and he is completely self-serving, a perpetual victim, which we saw in that statement while he was in the UK. He has no respect for his elders, no respect for the institution, and a questionable relationship with the truth.”

Criticising his behaviour towards the Royal Family since stepping down with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020, Schofield claimed the Duke has “remained defiant and detrimental” throughout the “illness and death of Prince Philip, the death of Queen Elizabeth”, and the “devastating cancer revelations” from both King Charles and Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales.

However, Schofield admitted that the growing feud between Harry and the Royal Family is “devastating to watch unfold”. Host Mark Dolan argued that is it “time for the country and the King to forgive Prince Harry”.

Schofield hit back, claiming: “Harry’s untrustworthy and his delusions of grandeur are reckless, and he remains a liability to the future of the monarchy. He still has some growing up to do.”
