A royal commentator has criticised Prince Harry over the fact he hasn’t yet met with his older brother, Prince William, during his visits to the UK.
Jennie Bond: Hard for William and Harry to ‘patch’ relationship
Prince Harry will “have to” meet with his older brother, Prince William, when he returns to the UK next month because people will “not be fooled” by any other “excuses” should he not do so, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex is set to return to his home country as he is expected to speak at the Invictus Games 10th Anniversary Service.
It will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 where Harry is listed as a guest in the official running of the service, despite the trip not being officially confirmed.
The prince has made it clear he is longing to reconcile with his estranged family after his recent dash back in February, following his father, King Charles’s cancer diagnosis announcement.
But whilst sources have claimed Harry’s priority will be focused on seeing Charles, royal author Tom Quinn added that the prince might also feel he has “no choice” but to see William too instead of finding “excuses” to avoid the “awkwardness” of a meeting.

The two feuding brothers have not been on speaking terms for a while now, with their rift deepening even more since Harry released his memoir Spare.
In the book, the duke has made some sensational claims about the royals, including one where he accused William of “physically attacking him” during an altercation.
Now Mr Quinn told the Mirror: “Barring a major upset, Harry will certainly return to the UK for the Invictus games in May – it’s his baby.
“If he decides not to come, it will take some explaining, because everyone will assume it’s because he doesn’t want the awkwardness of having to meet his brother or having to choose not to meet him.”

Mr Quinn added that not coming to the UK would be worse for the duke as “no one is going to be fooled” by any excuses to avoid meeting his family.
He explained: “Not coming would be worse than finding some sort of compromise where Harry sees William for 10 minutes or comes up with some reason why he doesn’t have time to see his brother and his father and has to get back to the States quickly to be with his children.
“But no one is going to be fooled by these excuses.”
