Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have finished their brief tour of Nigeria, with the couple watching a polo match at the prestigious Lagos Polo Club to wrap up their trip
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were guests of honour at a charity polo match, with the visit wrapping up their Nigerian tour.
The couple visited the Lagos Polo Club on Sunday for a fundraising event held in aid of in aid of Nigeria Unconquered, an organisation that supports and uplifts injured veterans. The pair took the seats and watched a parade of children in polo gear carrying the Nigerian flag, followed by eight older children on horseback.
The two teams were divided as Duke versus Duchess, with Team Duchess winning the match 5-3. The charity match will have no doubt brought back memories from the couple’s time in the Royal Family, with members of The Firm being huge polo lovers.

After the match, Harry and Meghan were seen handing out medals to the players. The Duke of Sussex also gave a speech as he thanked Nigeria for inviting them on the trip.
The Sussexes were advertised as special guests on invites promoting the charity polo match. One attendee told the Daily Mail: “They looked so happy to be there and it was a perfect day, maybe a little hot but they took their seats and immediately held hands. You can tell they are so in love it was wonderful to see.”
Harry is well-known for his love of polo and has played in plenty of charity matches over the years. He recently competed with his friend Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Figueras, with the match being filmed for Harry’s upcoming Netflix project.

Harry’s upcoming series will be following the world of professional polo and will primarily be shot at the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. Meghan is also working on a cooking show for the streaming giant.
Meghan and Harry’s trip to Nigeria is coming to an end, with the couple soon set to fly back to America. During their time in the African country, they’re attended events, met with key figures and delivered a number of speeches.
Meghan previously revealed she is “43 per cent Nigerian” and thanked the crowd in Abuja for welcoming her and Harry to “my country.” The Sussexes were invited to Nigeria by the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, who met Harry last September at the Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany.
