King Charles’s true feelings about reconciliation with Prince Harry have been discussed ahead of his planned visit to the UK.
Prince Harry is set to return to the UK next month to attend a special ceremony to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
The ceremony will take place at St Paul’s Cathedral on May 8 in London, with the 39-year-old set to make a speech to mark the milestone.
The Duke of Sussex has been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time, with questions of a reconciliation building up again ahead of his visit in May.

Speaking to The Sun, royal expert Richard Palmer said he believes the King and his youngest son are “trying to reconcile”.
With tensions running high, the expert added that Harry will find it may take longer to heal over the rift with his brother, Prince William.
Mr Palmer said: “I do think Harry and his father are trying to reconcile. I think with William, it’s going to be a much longer process, but eventually, maybe, lots of families have disputes and, over time, they can heal their divisions.
“There’s a big job to be done with William. The King, I think, is open to reconciliation.”
He added: “But I don’t, you may disagree, I don’t think he’s open to the idea that Harry could be a part-time working royal.
“I think they draw a line in the sand at Sandringham all those years ago now where he said, ‘you can’t be a part-time working royal, you are either in or out’.”
The King reunited with Harry in the UK in February, just a day after the 75-year-old’s cancer diagnosis was made public.
Despite travelling from the US to the UK, Harry is said to have only spent half an hour with his father at Clarence House on February 6.
Speaking after news of Harry and the King’s meeting, a royal expert said the short reunion was “more than enough”.
Appearing on Royal Beat podcast, Alan Jones, Press Association royal correspondent, said: “I think [Harry] just sitting there with his father was probably enough.
“He could have done five hours or could have done 45 minutes; it is just the fact he is with him. You could say a lot and rekindle that bond just by being together.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down as senior working royals at the start of 2020, moving to the US soon after. The couple now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.
