King Charles and Camilla exclude Prince William from major plan amid Kate Middleton’s illness

Prince William has reportedly been excluded from meetings to discuss the plan in the event of father King Charles III’s funeral.

Funeral plans for Queen Elizabeth II were known as Operation London Bridge. The similar operation for the King has been dubbed Menai Bridge, with the Government and Royal Family preparing for the worst-case scenario should he take a turn for the worse.

Kate Middleton’s ring seems to disappear and suggests official video is fake

According to PageSix, there are contingency plans “Menai Bridge – a reference to a span in the principality – and now Buckingham Palace and the British Government are in advanced planning for the vast public spectacle of another royal funeral.”

The King recently made the heartbreaking announcement that he is battling cancer, although it was not revealed in the statement from Buckingham Palace which type of cancer His Majesty been diagnosed with.

While undergoing his treatment, King Charles has been working from home to carry on his duties, while Camilla has been performing in-person royal engagements.

At the time, the Palace insisted that the 75-year-old “remains wholly positive about his treatment” and “looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.”

But as a contingency plan, King Charles and Queen Camilla have been privately meeting with government officials to make arrangements. However, Prince William has apparently been excluded from the preparations, despite being heir to the throne.

Why was Prince William shut out?
As it turns out, King Charles has been keen to avoid adding more stress for William, who is already balancing his royal duties with looking after their three children while his wife, Kate Middleton, undergoes treatment for cancer.

The Princess of Wales announced on Friday in a recorded message that she had been diagnosed shortly after having planned abdominal surgery, from which she has been recovering since January.

And the King is said to have made the decision with this in mind, as he believes it is best his son should be left to focus on ‘more important matters’ like caring for his family.
