Since deciding to quit his life as a working member of the British Royal Family, Prince Harry has made a series of public claims against high-profile members of his relatives but now Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, seems as though she’s fed up and has hit back at him.

It’s 13 years since the Dutchess of Edinburgh married Prince William to instantly become one of the most senior figures of the family and she’s now spoken out against the Duke of Sussex after he suggested her marriage isn’t exactly perfect or natural.

“I think for so many people in the family,” Prince Harry told the Netflix cameras. “Especially obviously the men, there can be a temptation or an urge to marry someone who would fit the mold as opposed to somebody who you perhaps are destined to be with.

“The difference between making decisions with your head or your heart. And my mum certainly made most of her decisions, if not all of them, from her heart. And I am my mother’s son.”

It’s not a hard reach to imagine he is suggesting he married Meghan Markle for true love whilst his brother married for convenience on the path to his inevitable rise to the UK throne when their father, King Charles III, eventually dies.

How does Middleton respond?

Despite battling cancer and disappearing from the public eye, Middleton continues to live her life on her own terms whilst she also ensures she does carry out her public duties to the best of her ability.

In fact, Middleton is far from the boring, monotonous wife that Prince Harry appears to imagine her as. She has a very strong reputation for being an innovator and trendsetter in terms of fashion with media even suggesting that Taylor Swift has turned to the future Queen for inspiration.

But she has also placed herself and her family ahead of her royal commitment by refusing to talk about her cancer diagnosis until the tide of calls for answer became overwhelming. Far from someone who only cares about the image of the family.

And then she has also launched the Princess’s Early Years Foundation, the Prince’s Earthshot Prize and the homelessness initiative Homewards. The British monarchs, and future monarchs, are supposed to be a-political and never make any sort of gesture or statement but that’s what she has done.

Proving time and time again that she will not just conform to royal standards in order to make her future King happy, she’s living her own life and doing her own thing too, showing Prince Harry doesn’t really know what he’s on about.
