Last June, members of the British Royal Family gathered to honor their late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
Following the service, Prince William and Princess Kate were seen chatting on the steps of the cathedral while waiting for their car to take them to the Guildhall for a lunch reception.
A lip reader, John Cassidy, disclosed what he believes was said during their exchange. According to Cassidy, Kate Middleton commented on the service.
“It went very well, very well,” she commented.
“Yes, perfect,” William replied.
The future King then waved to the crowd and instructed Kate on what to do next.
“Wait for that to move, then we can go,” he added.
What else can be gained from body language analysis?
A body language expert analyzed the couple’s behavior at the same event and noted that Prince William seemed to give Prince Harry the “opposite of an acknowledgement” and a “barrier gesture.”
Despite their public feud, the brothers attended the event to honor their late grandmother. This was the first public appearance of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at a royal event since leaving the monarchy.
Although both brothers attended, they were seated far apart and did not interact, resulting in a tense atmosphere.
Body language expert Judi James observed that William adopted a “barrier gesture” as he and Kate walked past the pew where Harry sat.
“Harry looked firmly resigned to the back row and was not sitting behind his brother as he was for the last service of remembrance,” James explained.
“There was the opposite of an acknowledgement from William as he walked past Harry’s row during the parade out of the service. Sucking in his lips and with his chin pulled up in a gesture of resolve, he appeared to turn his head in the other direction for a moment, raising his order of service high in a barrier gesture.”
Harry, appearing anxious, leaned in and down to Meghan for support. He joked with Zara as they searched for their car, displaying a wide grin, but otherwise, he seemed to have a “haunted eye expression” with rapid blinking suggesting inner anxiety.
