Resurfaced Reports Detail Why We May Never See Kate Middleton in the Color Orange

While it seems like we’ve seen Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton, in any color known to man, some longtime fans started to wonder something. During her latest appearance at Wimbledon, she donned an all-purple dress, a very similar style to her other monochromatic looks. She’s wowed in pinks and reds to blues and greens, but there’s one color many can’t quite recall her wearing: orange.

So, first thing first: has Kate worn an orange look? Per Kate Middleton Style, Kate has only worn orange twice throughout her 13 years as a royal. The first time was when she donned Ridley London Alicia Top in Tangerine and an orange Dayne Taylor Vintage 1960’S Raffia Beaded Bag during a 2022 trip to Jamaica, and then in 2023, when she wore an orange Gabriela Hearst two-piece during her visit for Luton Nursery.

But here’s the thing: one look was a red-orange, and both were covered up by coats of a different color she often opts for.

So, why the lack of orange? Style expert Molly Elizabeth Agnew told Express.co.uk back in 2023 why she believes Kate usually opts out of orange, and why we may not see her in orange again.

“Kate has worn pretty much every single color imaginable, and yet she has probably worn bright orange the least,” she said. “Much like the late Queen, Kate enjoys wearing bright tones as they ensure she can be seen in crowds, and orange is certainly bright! The most likely answer as to why she tends to steer clear of the colour is personal preference.”

She added, “We all have colours we don’t overly enjoy wearing…Kate is very lucky in that she can really pull off any colour, however, she has a cooler undertone and tends to shine her brightest in strong blues and jewel tones.”

So there you have it: Kate apparently doesn’t like the color very much, and we may not ever see her in a true monochromatic orange look ever. Sorry, orange-color fans!
