Kate Middleton Is “Genuinely Touched” by Prince William’s Support Amid Her Cancer Treatment

“He’s shouldered a lot of the responsibilities, and, what’s more, he seems to be having fun doing it.”

Kate Middleton has the support of the masses as she undergoes cancer treatment, but most importantly, she has her devoted husband, Prince William, to support and carry her through these recent difficult times.

An OK! source reported that Middleton has been more than impressed with how her husband has stepped up in the last few months—and he doesn’t seem to mind at all.

“He’s shouldered a lot of the responsibilities, and, what’s more, he seems to be having fun doing it,” the source said. “Kate has seen the change, and she’s genuinely touched by all that he’s doing, not just for her, but for the children.”

While adjusting to Middleton’s cancer has proven to be new territory for the family, William took the change in stride. He’s “already hands-on,” but amid Middleton’s cancer treatment, “he’s become more confident and stronger in his role as dad. It’s reassuring for Kate to know the kids will always have a loving, compassionate, and caring relationship with their father if, God forbid, something happens to her.”

Amid the royal family’s recent hardships, the Prince and Princess of Wales often try to remember the promise they made to each other when they got married. “They remember their vows they said at their wedding,” the insider said. “It forced her and William to take a good look at their priorities and be more grateful for what they have. Their vows have never been more profound as they navigate this difficult time.”

As for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, “the kids can sense he’s [William] having fun, and they’re happy and secure as a result.” Taking George and Charlotte to see Taylor Swift is an example of how William is trying to cut loose with them. He’s also garnering inspiration from his late mother, Princess Diana, and how she aimed to be with her own children.

“She was so much fun to be around. She encouraged her kids to play and express themselves,” the source added. “William feels a responsibility to show that he’s evolving and modernizing with the times. It’s not a burden to him, it’s a privilege.”
