The Reason Why Kate Middleton’s US Cancer Treatment Rumor Makes the Royal Family Nervous

There was nothing better than the sight of a healthy-looking Kate Middleton at Trooping the Colour on Saturday, June 15. After six months of over-the-top rumors, the Princess of Wales was glowing and radiant on a celebratory day. However, one nagging story seems to be lingering around the palace when it comes to Kate’s treatment. Did she go to the U.S. for a second opinion?

Anyone who has ever faced a life-threatening illness knows that seeking advice from several medical sources can be a game-changer for their recovery. Kate’s alleged trip to the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas still cannot be verified, but a Life & Style source is chatting with the outlet about the possibility that it happened. “There are multiple witnesses who claim to have seen her in Texas,” the insider claimed. “It’s believed she’s flying back and forth for secret cancer treatment there.”

It would make sense for a public figure like the Princess of Wales to seek out the best option for her cancer, but there’s one tricky aspect to going outside of the National Health Service (NHS) system. One of Kate’s patronages is the NHS Charities Together, which supports the work of the NHS and was a key voice during the COVID-19 pandemic. The source worries that it “would be a bad look” if it was confirmed that Kate went to the U.S. for treatment. “It would suggest that the care that ‘regular’ Britons get isn’t good enough for the princess, who is wealthy enough to afford better doctors,” they added. “But the truth is, [Prince] William will pay any amount of money to make sure she gets better.”

Kensington Palace described the rumor as “false” to the Houston Chronicle and that she was not “being treated at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.” A representative for the hospital naturally couldn’t confirm nor deny Kate as a patient either due to privacy laws. It’s possible that she did visit the U.S., but has now “turned a corner” where she no longer needs that stateside services. Royal fans may never know the truth since no photographic evidence has ever been presented — and thank goodness her privacy was respected if she was there.

Her Saturday sighting was a sigh of relief because it proves that Kate is on the right track, even though she noted in her personal statement that she’s “not out of the woods yet.” Her health journey is on the right track, and she’s happy to be “making good progress” after a very difficult start to the year.
