Princess Kate’s regal appearances at high-profile royal events have been praised online, with a compilation of archive footage going viral on social media site TikTok as she continues her time out of the public eye while being treated for cancer.
In March, Kate announced that following abdominal surgery earlier in the year doctors had found cancer to be present and that she had been recommended a course of “preventative chemotherapy.”
The princess made a personal plea for time, space and privacy while she received treatment and continued her recovery, explaining that while she looked forward to returning to her royal work she needed to focus on her health.
In the absence of any new appearances for the time being, fans of the princess have taken to social media in recent weeks to share favorite highlights from past events and ceremonies.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @catherine.wales0 on June 9, a compilation of footage showing Kate at several high-profile events between 2021 and 2023 has gone viral, gaining over 100,000 views on the platform so far.
Two of Kate’s appearances at the Royal Ascot horse racing event are used in the clip, the first showing the royal wearing a white and brown polka dot dress while taking part in a carriage procession along the racecourse.
This was taken in 2022, and a second clip showing Kate in an all-red outfit was captured at the 2023 event.
Kate’s style has become widely celebrated and her appearance at the 2021 premiere of the James Bond movie No Time To Die has become one of her most iconic fashion moments.
The princess glittered in an all-gold sequin gown with a floor length cape designed by one of her favorite fashion creatives, Jenny Packham.
In the clip used for the TikTok video, Kate is seen walking the red carpet as camera flashes illuminated the sequin details.
Also included is video footage of Kate and Prince William as they attended the royal wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan which took place in June 2023.
For the event, Kate honored the modest form of dressing adopted by Jordanian women, opting for a floor-length blush pink gown with long sleeves and a high neckline, designed by Lebanese fashion designer Elie Saab.

Several clips also focused on Kate’s appearances during her 2022 tour of the Caribbean with Prince William as part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II.
The tour was plagued by a number of protests and PR disasters that dominated press coverage, but Kate’s style was once again widely praised. During a reception in the Bahamas, the royal wore an ice blue slip-shoulder evening gown designed by British designer Phillipa Lepley.
Captioned “The future queen of the United Kingdom” in reference to her position as the wife of Prince William (who since King Charles’ accession has been first in line to inherit the throne), the TikTok video has received in excess of 10,000 likes and over 130 comments on the platform so far, many of which have praised Kate and her regal appearance.
“She reminds me of Diana so much. The way she dresses an walks an how she loves the people,” wrote one user.
“She’s a goodness,” posted another, with a further comment reading: “She’s so elegant.”
So far this year, Kate has not made any official public appearances amid her health challenges, though when asked at a D-Day commemoration event this month, Prince William said his wife was getting “better”.
In May, Kensington Palace reiterated that the princess would not return to her work until cleared to do so by her medical team.
