Prince Louis’ burning 5-word question to late Queen at her last ever Trooping the Colour

Prince Louis made a pressing remark to his great-grandmother, the late Queen Elizabeth, during her last ever Trooping the Colour ceremony back in 2022.

As the country prepares to celebrate King Charles’s second official birthday parade this Saturday, June 15, Brits are reminiscing about his mother’s last one, which was a double celebration as it also marked Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee.

The event, which was held on Thursday, June 2, 2022, was filled with pomp and pageantry but there was one particular royal who stole the show during the Royal Family’s appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony – Prince Louis.

The youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales has been a firm favourite among fans since his debut in 2019, but during the Platinum Jubilee and Trooping the Colour celebrations in 2022, his antics and cheeky behaviour were in full swing.

And there was even a sweet interaction between Louis and the late monarch during the RAF flypast that experts have managed to interpret fully.

During the flypast, the young prince, who was four at the time, was seen covering his ears while also speaking to his mother, Princess Kate, and the late Queen.

A lip-reading expert went on to reveal exactly what Louis was saying to his family.

Speaking to the Daily Star, lip-reading specialist Jeremy Freeman claimed that Louis exclaimed “Woah” to his mum as the planes passed before turning to his great-grandmother and asking: “Are the Red Arrows coming?”

The late monarch replied jokingly: “I hope so”.

A body language expert suggested the sweet interaction between the two showcased their close relationship.

Judi James told the Mail: “Louis stepped in front of the Queen before tilting his head back to engage her in some animated conversation as they waited for the Red Arrows.

“[He] made this conversation seem like the most natural thing in the world and his lack of anything resembling fear suggested these two might share a rather close friendship based on shared fun behind the scenes, too.”
