Prince William’s joking request for Princess Kate to “stop flirting” during a charity fundraiser has gone viral, after footage from the couple’s 2015 visit to a commodities broker in London’s financial district resurfaced on TikTok.
William and Kate celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on Monday and, while the princess continues her absence from public life following a cancer diagnosis, fans have taken to social media to share favorite moments from her past engagements and events.
William and Kate visited brokers ICAP on their London trading floor in December 2015 to take part in the firm’s 23rd annual fundraiser, which donated the firm’s commission for the day to charitable causes.
The royal couple joined then-Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife, Samantha Cameron, for the event. It involved them speaking to commodities dealers, negotiating high prices over the phone.

Uploaded to TikTok by user @princessmiddleton_ on April 27, footage of Kate negotiating with a caller has gone viral, as William told her to “stop flirting.” The edited clips have been viewed over 117,000 times on the platform so far.
Upon hearing her husband’s comment, Kate can be seen in the footage to apologize lightheartedly as the fundraisers around the couple laugh.
Captioned “William being jealous,” the video has received in excess of 17,000 likes and numerous comments, many of which have praised the couple and their relationship.
“They are the cutest couple,” posted one viewer, with a further comment reading: “They have a great sense of humor and will make a great king and queen.”
William and Kate’s time in the City of London was evidently a boost to the charity fundraising effort. Reports at the time suggested that the company closed deals totaling £360 million ($449 million).
Throughout the course of their marriage, fans have been quick to spot lighthearted exchanges or public displays of affection shared between William and Kate.
In 2023, a congratulatory kiss given to William by the princess as she presented him with the winners’ trophy at a charity polo game went viral, being made as it was on International Kissing Day.
On April 29, to mark their 13th anniversary, Kensington Palace in London released a never-before-seen photograph of the couple, which had been taken on their wedding day at Buckingham Palace.
The black-and-white portrait showed Kate in her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown and antique diamond tiara lent by Queen Elizabeth II. William wore the black frock-coat uniform of the Household Cavalry.
On Tuesday, William attended a public engagement in northeastern England, during which he gave a brief update on Princess Kate’s health.
“Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are?” a well-wisher told the prince, to which William responded: “All doing well, thank you. Yes, we’re doing well.”
