The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been described as being ‘unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious’ by a royal expert, who hints that the Montecito-based couple could share more royal exposés
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been described as “unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious” as they could share more royal exposés, it has been claimed by an expert.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex famously stepped down from their senior roles within the Royal Family in 2020, with the couple also becoming financially independent and moving to America from their home in Windsor. Since setting up lives for themselves in the lavish location of Montecito in California, the couple have worked on various projects, with them often speaking out and being vocal about their time within the royal fold.
In 2021, the couple shocked the world when they sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all chat. And then more than a year later in 2022, the couple released their six-part docuseries on Netflix, which is titled Harry & Meghan.
The Sussexes now lead separate lives away from the Royal Family
The Sussexes have been outspoken in regards to their criticisms of the Royal Family, how they work and how the media “treated” Meghan while the couple were senior working royals. Prince Harry even released a memoir in 2023, titled Spare, where he dished several scathing revelations from his life as a royal.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has now issued a warning to the Royal Family, with the expert revealing how he thinks if Meghan and Harry don’t have their contract with Netflix renewed in 2025, they could share more exposés which have in the past “made them megabucks”.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Mr Fitzwilliams said: “They are working on new programmes for Netflix and Meghan has launched her lifestyle blog, American Riviera Orchard. They have lost Spotify, rather curiously Lemonada Media, which Meghan has joined, reportedly intends to place her podcasts on ice until next year. Nothing has come of rumours about Meghan and any political ambitions she might have.”
He added: “Yet since their $100 million contract with Netflix began, they have done hardly anything for it. It runs out next year and Netflix are no longer producing the series of The Crown, as they previously were. They might therefore have less interest in the Sussexes. If they lost this contract, with Archewell, their business and charitable foundation, having so few donors, they might well be in financial trouble. Since their exposés of royal life has made megabucks, but little else has made money, the Royal Family better hope that this unpredictable and ruthlessly ambitious couple stays with Netflix.”
