Kate Middleton’s cancer impact revealed: What’s happening to the Princess of Wales?

Kate Middleton’s suffering hair loss and weight loss as she battles an undisclosed form of cancer, which has left her out of the public eye ever since she had surgery at The London Clinic back in February.

The Princess of Wales revealed the diagnosis before pleading with the public and the world to finally allow her and her family privacy as she begins to treat the form of the disease that she’s battling with, and it sounds like it’s taking a huge toll on her.

“Kate and William are going through hell behind palace walls,” a high-level royal courtier told the National Enquirer. The source added that the Royal couple are going to “great lengths” to hide the disease from their three children.

However, according to the insider, it’s also becoming more difficult to hide the news from Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are no older than 10 as the condition begins to devastate the Dutchess of Edinburgh.

Middleton said she was beginning chemotherapy but that can have some brutal side effects such as nausea and vomiting, hair loss, fatigue and an increased risk of infection due to lowered white blood cell counts.

Mucositis can cause painful mouth sores, and gastrointestinal disturbances such as diarrhea or constipation are common. Neuropathy, which involves numbness, tingling, or pain in the hands and feet, can also occur.

It’s not clear if Middleton has any, or all, of those symptoms but it is possible and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture for the future Queen of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth as she battles the condition.

Prince William rallies around his wife

One person who has stepped up ever since his father and his wife got the news of their cancers is Prince William, who has assumed more duties than ever and even withdrawn from them depending on the situation, to make sure he can look after his wife.

He will, in some part, be driven by the trauma from the death of his own mother, Princess Diana, back in 1996.

His desire to treat his wife could also be rooted in the fact that he was only 15 when he lost his own mother, which will be just four years older than his youngest son in June.

Either way, he’s been ensuring that he’s placing family above duty wherever he can and that hasn’t changed according to the royal source.

“He’s trying to be [Kate’s] rock while also taking care of the kids and still performing official duties,” the insider added. “This is uncharted territory for them both.

“He’s been cutting back on travel and doing more remote engagements, making it clear Kate and the children come first.”
