Rather than post a previously shared clip from a recorded public engagement or speaking event, Kate just shared a rare video via the Kensington Palace Instagram account of her speaking directly to the camera about her ongoing U.K.–wide childhood development survey. The result is an extremely casual and conversational face-to-face moment with the duchess as she urges more people to partake in her survey, “5 Big Questions on the Under 5s.”

“Parents, families, and carers are at the heart of raising the next generation, and that’s why I felt so passionate about listening to them and listening to your thoughts and your views on how best we can support you going forward,” she says during the clip. “That’s why I’ve launched the ‘5 Big Questions,’ to hear from as many people from society as possible.”

Also during the clip, the duchess recalls her recent trips to London, Northern Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, where she met with local parents, grandparents, and caregivers to learn more about what United Kingdom–based parents need in order to provide and support the next generation of youth. According to Kate in the video, more than 200,000 people have already participated in the survey.

Alongside promoting the survey, Kate has been actively speaking out about the life lessons she’s gleaned from her experiences with motherhood. The duchess recently appeared on blogger Giovanna Fletcher’s podcast, Happy Mum, Happy Baby, on which she opened up about being a mother to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
