Prince Harry is tipped to be arriving back in his homeland in a matter of weeks to attend an important ceremony. But there may also be another reason why he’s heading for the UK.
The Duke of Sussex has his sights set on St Paul’s Cathedral in London on May 3 to mark the 10 year anniversary of the Invictus Games. It is still unconfirmed if wife Meghan will be joining him.
In an episode of the Daily Mail’s Palace Confidential, royal correspondents discussed the latest updates in Harry’s US visa row, which has rumbled on due to his disclosure in his memoir, Spare, that he had taken drugs.
A judge in the US has now received Prince Harry’s US visa application papers as efforts take place to determine whether he lied about his drug use when he opted to live in America.
Host Jo Elvin asked whether his return will have anything to do with the case, to which Natasha Livingstone, royal correspondent for the Mail, said: “Either way, whatever happens with this situation it’s a bit difficult for him, so yes, maybe he would be keen to come back to the UK and try and win people over…it’s a bit messy, really.”
