Prince William and Princess Kate are reportedly making concerted efforts to reconcile their strained relationship with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as detailed by insights from a knowledgeable royal commentator.
Amidst the palpable tension between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the broader Royal Family, particularly their estrangement from the Prince and Princess of Wales, expert royal author Tom Quinn has shed light on the proactive steps taken by William and Kate to mend fences.
In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Quinn revealed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have extended olive branches towards Meghan and Harry, expressing a sincere desire for reconciliation.
Their outreach included a heartfelt invitation for Meghan, Harry, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, to visit the United Kingdom. However, it appears that Meghan has adamantly stood her ground, declining the invitation.

Tom told us: “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK. William and Kate have suggested that Meghan and Harry bring the children and that the two couples and their families try to make up, but the suggestion is not leading anywhere so far.”
Meghan and Harry are not close with William and Kate and the Sussexes hit out at their family members in their Netflix docuseries, as well as their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry also made a number of accusations about his brother and sister-in-law in his debut memoir Spare.
In the book, the Duke of Sussex opened up about an explosive row he had with William, during which the Prince of Wales allegedly called Harry’s wife Meghan “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”. Harry claims his brother then “grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor”.

Meghan and Harry were set to bring their children to the UK in September 2022, but decided not to bring their children amid safety concerns. In court documents released after the ruling in Prince Harry’s UK security case, it’s been revealed Meghan and Harry asked for security but were denied by RAVEC (the Royal and VIP Executive Committee).
It was then said that Harry and Meghan’s team “wrote to say that the proposed security arrangements for the September visit were not lawful”. They also described the measures as “inadequate”.
